New York City, NY — (June 25, 2007) The Winners of the 28th Annual Telly Awards have been announced. With a record 14,362 entries from all 50 states and around the world, this year’s competition has been the most competitive and successful in the long history of the Telly Awards.
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest film and video productions, and groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.

This year’s Winners include companies, agencies and organizations of all sizes, from large multinational media companies to small ad agencies and local production houses. A sample of Silver Telly Winners includes Badami Productions, BBDO, Beacon Street Studios, Blue Telescope, DigitalKitchen, DoubleJay Creative, Earnhardt Pirkle, Foreignfilms, Icarus Communications, Idaho Public TV, IMS Productions, InJoy Birth & Parenting Videos, Kaleidoscope Pictures, Kolar Advertising & Marketing, Lopez Negrete, Lou Beres & Associates, Mac Guff, Medstar Television, Miami Dolphins, NBC Universal, Northlich, PGA TOUR Productions, PixelFish, RJ Dale Advertising & Public Relations, Soho/Rogue Editorial, Solid Films, Southdown Creative, Steve & Barry’s, Strategic Perception Inc., The Paradiso Group, Two West, Wildfire, Young & Rubicam, Zonk!
A prestigious judging panel of over 40 accomplished industry professionals, each a past Winner of a Silver Telly, the top honor, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. Judges evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work – entries do not compete against each other – rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of a Silver Telly, our highest honor. Other outstanding work is awarded a Bronze Telly.

Chairman of the judging panel, Richard Friley, the Emmy and Telly Award winning President of Friley Productions noted, “In my second year as judging chairman, I am again incredibly impressed with the remarkable level of achievement evident in the diverse pool of entries. It is a true accomplishment for all of the Winners to be recognized from such an outstanding body of work. “

Miami, FL – Suzuki Marine has expanded its industry-leading line-up of 4-stroke outboards with the addition of a new 100-horsepower 4-stroke model for 2009. Suzuki’s new DF100 — the company’s first 100-horsepower 4-stroke and the only outboard in this class available in the United States — made its debut at the 2008 Miami International Boat Show.
Suzuki’s new DF100 is built around a 118.9 cu. in. inline 4-cylinder Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC) powerhead with four valves-per-cylinder for plenty of muscle. Advanced technology like digital multi-point electronic fuel injection, a tuned and water-cooled intake system and a water-cooled fuel rail optimize power and performance under the full range of operating conditions. Together with Suzuki’s race-proven 4-into-2-into-1 exhaust system, these features add up to 100 ponies that really want to run — whether you’re powering out of the hole, cruising in the mid-range or tearing across the water at wide-open-throttle.

“Having the only 100-horsepower outboard — and a clean, efficient and reliable 4-stroke at that — should give us a competitive edge in the North American boating market,” said Larry Vandiver, Marketing Director for Suzuki Marine. “It will also give boat builders and boaters more choice when it comes to putting together the ideal package for fresh and saltwater applications. Now that we’ve got an all 4-stroke line from 2.5 to 300 horsepower, we’re engineering ways to better meet the needs of the marine industry and its customers,” Vandiver added.

Suzuki’s proven offset driveshaft moves the DF100’s center of gravity forward, for an overall compact design and better balance on the transom. Available in 20- and 25-inch shaft versions, this combination of size, balance and smooth power makes the new DF100 ideal for a wide range of boats — from small center consoles, bay boats and flats rigs in saltwater to freshwater pontoons, runabouts or aluminum fish ‘n ski models.

Suzuki’s powerful 2.59 final drive ratio delivers quick hole shots — great for popping a “flats” boat on top of skinny water or pulling a skier. And thanks to Suzuki’s wealth of high-performance features, the DF100 also delivers great top end performance, and the fuel efficiency to expand your cruising and fishing horizons.

The new DF100 — along with new 70-, 80-, and 90-horsepower 4-stroke models for 2009 — will be officially launched to the North American boating writers and editors at the Ocean Reef Club on Key Largo this May. For more information about the press launch, or to learn more about the new DF100 for 2009, contact Suzuki Marine at (714) 996-7040 or visit Suzuki’s informative website at www.suzuki.com.

Miami, FL – BRP kicked off its year-long 100th anniversary celebrations of the Evinrude brand at the Miami International Boat Show. This iconic brand that created the boating industry as we know it today has survived through a century of triumphs and challenges, and BRP continues that leadership into the future.
In attendance were the grandchildren of the inventor of the first commercialized outboard engines: Tom and Sally Evinrude, children of Ralph Evinrude who, with his father Ole, lead the evolution of the 100-year old brand. Among the guests were an important group of dealers, boat builders, and distributors who support BRP’s efforts in expanding Evinrude engines’ product offering worldwide.

“By letting people throw away the oars, Evinrude outboard engines have introduced scores of people to the joys of boating and turned these people into lifelong boating enthusiasts,” said Roch Lambert, vice president and general manager of the outboard engine division at BRP. “Indeed, in its proud history, Evinrude has sold more engines worldwide than any other outboard manufacturer. People know that buying an Evinrude means buying a trusted brand name that delivers everything they want in an outboard engine,” he added.

Still Reinventing Boating Today
For 100 years, the Evinrude name has been synonymous with boating innovation. From the earliest innovations to today’s Evinrude E-TEC technology, Evinrude engines have been helping people spend more time enjoying their boating experience. This history of innovation continues today.

Today’s Evinrude E-TEC engines deliver an unmatched boating experience, with more power, better fuel efficiency and less maintenance than any other engine. All this means more of what boaters want most: spending more time on the water to create lasting memories.

Evinrude E-TEC is also the most environmentally friendly outboard motor in the world, receiving such accolades as the EPA Clean Air Technology Excellence Award and authorization to be used on Lake Constance, the pristine waters bordering Switzerland, Austria and Germany. With Evinrude, boaters know their engine will maintain the condition of the waters they love.

A Bright Future
BRP revived and strengthened the Evinrude brand with the introduction of the Evinrude E-TEC outboard engine. Combining 100 years of experience with Evinrude, 50 years of Ski-Doo snowmobiles, 40 years of Sea-Doo personal watercraft, and nearly 90 years of Rotax engines, no other powersports company can demonstrate such commitment to this industry nor match BRP’s portfolio of innovative, trend-setting and market-shaping products.

”That commitment to industry leadership is today stronger than ever. A few weeks ago, we launched the 50th anniversary celebrations of Ski-Doo snowmobiles and introduced a Ski-Doo snowmobile powered by a Rotax engine to which we adapted the E-TEC technology. This certainly attests our commitment to this technology as well as to our quest for meaningful innovations and more eco-friendly products,” said José Boisjoli, president and CEO, BRP.

“As we celebrate Evinrude 100th and Ski-Doo 50th anniversaries, we need to remind ourselves where we come from as a company and to remember that we have a duty of perpetuating this great heritage of ours. In the last year, we announced major investments in three new centers of excellence focused on developing advanced technologies and on bringing design and innovation to another level. This is our commitment to our customers and to powersports enthusiasts,” concluded Boisjoli.
